Witch Hazel
Pansies
Ornamental Cabbage or Kale
If you live in a mild climate Camellias and Amaryllis.
Plants that have excellent foliage or bark color: Heuchera, Nandina, Red Twig Dogwood, Ornamental Grasses, Heather, Euphorbia, Bergmansia…
Then add the ornamental kale/cabbage, mums, and pansies for a punch of color.
It depends somewhat on your location. Options can include lettuce (early winter), broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, turnips and turnip greens, brussel sprouts, kale, and parsley.
If you choose a sunny site, most plants will grow except real summer veges like tomato, egg plant, water melon etc….
But it really depends on how warm your area or your garden is.
So just try anything your local nurseries sells and find out yourself.
I’m not kidding but every garden is different!
